  1. Thanks, my bad. Didn't move the page over. Doh. Chuck
  2. Where's the link to the Cobra pics? did I miss something? Chuck
  3. Great pics, it's intresting that those -Es don't have the cooling intakes installed on the CFTs. I thought those were installed on all up engined (-229s) in the F-15E fleet. Anybody know what the story is on this? I thought all the -E models had the new engines now. Chuck
  4. Great build. Beautiful paint and weathering. PM inbound with question. Chuck
  5. Great pics. Got to love that Spad. Don't see to many of those! Chuck
  6. I agree, any position. I've even saw a USMC Harrier pilot at an airshow grab the front port nozzle and rotate them all down by just turning that on. So guess any position is fine. Chuck
  7. You stole my post Ssgt. Been looking for this one for a while. Keep those USMC jets coming. Chuck
  8. "Lockheed is evil"! I can only guess what your "friend" thinks about other "evil corperations". I'm sure he would suggest their "greedy profits" are made on the backs of the poor. Sorry, had to say it. Lockheed buttered my families bread for a lot of years. Chuck
  9. Dave has not only been straight up and timely on the trades I've done with him, but has helped me out on some other problems and questions I've had. He's a stand up guy in my book. I'm sure any problems can be worked out. Chuck Cook
  10. Great looking "Whiskey Cobra". I've got one on the bench as well. What brand and color paint did you use? It looks like a great match to the real Cobras I've seen, especially the blue grey on the upper surfaces. Again, great work. Chuck
  11. Looking good so far. I like that preshading on the interior. Adds kinda a shadow effect, which seems right to me on the inside of a parked helo. I gotta get going on mine. Let's see some more. Chuck
  12. Quick help guys. What model A-4s did our Kiwi friends fly? They look like -E or -F models. I could dig it out but laziness and football has me down and out. Thanks in advance. Chuck
  13. I agree, Spaced Marine is the man. Chuck Cook
  14. Well Hell. Your A-4m is just another reason I just keep buying kits instead of building them. Congrats. One of the best I've seen, again. Chuck
  15. Anthony, Little Bird and Trigger are right on. The Revell of Germany CH-53GS/G kit is the best starting point. Two other reasons are that it has the new rotor blades with the correct tips and the larger external tanks. This kit plus the Cobra Co sets can be built into a heck of a PAVELOW. I've seen a few of these birds at airshows and the markings shouldn't be to hard to piece together. Chuck
  16. OK, Help. I can talk about modern jets,USMC/Navy aircraft, but I need some help with this one. The Revell 32nd FGA-9 is a great kit, but what is the physical difference between the FGA 9 and the F-6? I understand the 9 has a ground attack role but if they are setting side by side, what's the difference? I've got the Warpaint book but I can't really see the difference. Guess I'm missing something. Thanks. Chuck
  17. What! We gotta build these kits? Chuck
  18. Andrew D, Have you looked at Steve Ginter's Naval Fighters #13, F4-D Skyray? It's about the best I've seen on this aircraft. I also remember a bunch of walkaround shots of the Pensacola Ford some where on the net. Google maybe. Chuck
  19. I know it's been said before, however I got to say it! Might be the best value in modeling on the market today. Paid 17.00 for one today at Hobbytown, and they are surely not known for bargins. Question- there was a nice collection of Typhoon pics taken at an airshow posted a couple weeks ago here. Can anyone help me find them? Thanks. Chuck
  20. Keith, I admire your modeling, and I know this is kinda off topic. But, I've got to know, who is Shirley Manson and what is the new religion? If it's none of my business, I'm sorry. Chuck
  21. Hey, what about the USMC Hornets. I know they did the 2 seater in Marine colors, but had to throw my 2 cents in. Chuck
  22. I guess it's a fine plane, but a P-3 crewman told me at the NAS Atlanta airshow, that he'd hate like hell to be 2000 miles out over blue water with only 2 engines at 300 ft! Don't know myself, just relaying what a P-3 crewdog said. Chuck
  23. Guys, Help me understand this? I know I'm new to this forum and just getting back into modeling, but I'll be danged if I understand what's going on with this guy. If he broke it off in some people under the trade name of Aerodynamix, how is he doing the same thing under a new name? Our mothers used to say "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". I keep reading that this guy and his wife have had some problems, but sounds like to me they are doing just fine. All the money and only a little bit or no product. I may be way off base and if I am I'm sorry, but this guy sounds pret
  24. Beautifully done. I was following the build thread and must have missed the part saying this was a 1/72ND scale model. I thought it was at least 1/48th! Well done, excellent detail. Chuck
  25. That's a great website. But it hasn't been updated since May 21st. I'm sure it's a tough thing to maintain and update a website like that. Shows you how lucky we are to have ARC! Any one know what happen to the Strike Eagle website updates? Chuck
