  1. Yes I know that, but I also know that Delta Aviation acquire all the ID Models moulds, Delta Aviation is Blackbird Models, which is why I asked.
  2. My copy of PAK-20 shows a 1/12 Me.262, could that be it ? Question for you Tigger, did you get the Lockheed C-5 too?
  3. I was very sad to see Jason's post, very similar to my experience. 8 years and counting as of today.
  4. As I don't know which airfoil is drawn anyway (not labelled), I doesn't worry me which one it is, it's just that there's something there which I can then make some ribs so the plastic will have some shape to it, the Combat Models vacuform being of very thin styrene for the size of the model. Same with the engine nacelles, they don't appear to be dead round. As to when the drawings were done I couldn't say either, but the CM kit seems to follow it quite well from what I've checked so far. I'm planning on building the model later this year along with a 1/72 CC-150 of Transport Wings. Edit:

    C-130 Props

You can also buy Jen's set here: http://www.theaviationworkshop.co.uk/
  6. Hi, I am currently in possession of a set of drawings of the C-17 but unfortunately not in a position to copy or pass on anything from them without permission from their owner, my friend Steve, who kindly let me borrow them so I can complete my 1/72 Combat Models vacuform kit. I can say that the origin of these drawings are from McDonnell Douglas and out of curiosity I printed off Jennings nose profile to compare with what I have and it does match practically exactly. Now that I have two sources of the nose profile I can confidently say the model when I've finished should be more like a pro
  7. Nice photo Alvin Notice that these are Furys and not Sea Furys, the clue being there's no tail hook bulge just after the tail wheel. There were de-navalized Sea Furys that also went to Iraq, these retaining the bulge but not including the hook.
  8. According to the book Canadian Military Aircraft - Finish and Markings 1968-2004 by Patrick Martin, the current Seaking colour is overall Grey 26173 with Grey 26118 colour for all the markings.

    C-130 Props

In 1/72 there's the Aeroclub white metal props: http://www.aeroclub-models.com/p.html?n=6&c=P067
  10. Hi, you need to buy this book: In Chapter 5 there are 11 pages on all the CF-5 Aggressor schemes, much to much to write down here though, and the last three pages of the chapter has side profile pictures. There's also a whole slew of colour photos to look at too. Cheers, Robert
  11. I'll go along with that. Robert
  12. If I was doing a quiz and there were questions I didn't know, I would be more inclined to go and find out what it is about so I would know in the future. I wouldn't just pass it by because I didn't know, if I did that then I would never find out about it, would I? On the other hand, if I was on one of these really anal quiz shows you see on TV you wouldn't have a lot of choice but to just pass it by.
  13. Hmm! seeing as I don't know what this quiz is you're talking about I can't argue the point either, but it sort of strikes me that what you're saying is, if I'm doing a crossword (which is a quiz) I can't use a dictionary to find out what a word might be to solve a question. Is that right?
  14. I was just wondering, is there a problem with someone asking for an identification, this is the Aircraft Resource Center is it not? Where else would someone go if they were trying to find a name for an aircraft, other than here. Does it matter if he is doing a quiz, or finding answers for someone else who's doing a quiz? What's the problem guys? Robert
  15. Anytime I can help I'll try. Thanks for the kind words ( I couldn't find the 'embarrassed' smiley) Cheers, Robert
  16. Have you tried vacuforms, have a look here - mind you I'm not sure why it's called a 'Lockheed' KX-35. Check out what's in the 1/48th section http://www.combatmodels.us/
  17. Steve B beat me to it, I got mine from a sewing store after seeing them one time when I went to pick up the wife' new sewing machine. They had all sorts of sizes, some about the size of letter paper to really big ones that would cover a table, the one I ended up buying is 24"x36" which seems to cover a lot of my larger vacuforms quite nicely. Another thing I saw which I thought might be really handy was these fabric cutters, they looked like a pizza cutter ( the wheel type ) only with a smaller wheel blade (about 1" dia) these are sharper than a hobby knife as they have to cut just be appling
  18. Won't help with your search but just out of interest, there's a photo in the June-July 2008 issue of Combat Aircraft on page 8 of a C-130H (serial # 92-1536) which is being fitted with NP2000 eight blade props on all engines. The short article says if the test program is successful then these props will go on all the ski-equipped LC-130H/Rs
  19. I pretty much do what Edgar says, I assemble things like wings and other parts that can be assembled that might effect the weight distribution, keeping the fuselage halves NOT glued. I then dry fit everything and then stick some sprue or pins into where the main u/c legs go, then it's just like what Edgar said.
  20. Thanks, me and my bro came up with this sometime ago and so far everything has moved safely, at least the boxes I've look in so far. My really big models had to go in a box that a washing machine got delivered in. to save space I cut slots or holes in the plywood so things like tails or radomes on the lower level would poke through to the next level This is the box once it was packed, you have to remember to keep boxes to sizes you can get through doors though, this one just squeezed through the front door:
  21. Thanks, and sincere apologies to flyboyf18 for hijacking, wasn't my intentions at all.
  22. I packed mine like this when I did my recent house move: or like this:
  23. I've got one of the AiM 1/72 DC-10's plus a couple of the KC-10 conversions (picked one up only last week) The conversion comes with a pile of white metal bits and decals. I've written this before but Neil Gaunt works for Airbus on the A380, you can imagine there isn't much free time for these guys at the moment.
  24. It's not too bad, much better than say Execuform (if you've seen any of those kits) but not as good as Rareplane or Maintrack. I would say about Sanger quality (I'm going by a couple of kits of theirs I have). I've got the C-141 and a 1/72 DHC Buffalo plus a couple of 737-100 fuselages.
  25. ES, the Italeri C-141 is a re-box of the Dragon kit and you can still get the 1/72 Combat Models C-141A/B vacuform. Plus Jerry Rutman's detail pack is still available. http://www.combatmodels.us/ http://www.jrutman.com/
