mueste
Hello Guys! It's too late to start a complete 'In-Progress-Build' at the ARC. But for all that, i want to show you the last steps at my a long time desired Saab Sk37E Viggen in 1/48. I started this Project in Feb.09 with the old Airfix Kit. I used for the Front Cockpit the Cockpit-Set from Neomega. The Rear Cockpit is complete scratchbuilt. The Canopy for the Rear Cockpit was 'borrowed' from an old Revell-Eurofighter of the same Scale. The Spine of the Sk was formed with Sheet and for the Viggen-Nose, i used the corrected Nose Cone from Pisco Models. The rest was built out of the Box with some other Details from scratch. Dry fit of Wings, Canards and Canopys Before Painting the Splinter-Camo Splinter-Camo Step1 (Humbrol 186) Splinter-Camo Step2 (Humbrol 131) Splinter-Camo Step3 (Humbrol 149) Splinter-Camo The Final Step (Humbrol 33) Done! The treated bottom side

Gary West
I wish someone would release a 2 seat conversion set in 1:48.......fantastic work so far. Shame you didn't document the actual rear seat conversion though, it would have been great to see. I look forward to seeing the finished build soon hopefully.
G_Marcat_Italy
I wish someone would release a 2 seat conversion set in 1:48....... Good News: MAESTRO MODELS from Sweden (available at REBELL HOBBY ) have informed me that they are ready to in troduce a 1/48 conversion on the market. mueste
Many thanks to all for the positive Feedback to my Sk37E and your welcome just for me as a new User in the ARC. dragan mig31: Yes, that's right. The lighter Green is a little to brightly. But i don't care, i'm happy with the result. By the way, your Viggen looks great! Well done! Gary West: Yes, shame on me! Starting from now i'll keep you up to date! fulcrum: Thanks! The corrected Nose looks great and fits excellent! Good job! Cheers, Stefan
mueste
The next step for me was to build an opened Breaker Panel on starboard. The attempt to build the Panel with Sheet doesn't worked. A much easier way was to print out a 'Breaker-Panel-Decal' (Fuses) according to Photos, found at www. Only Switcher and Instruments were built of Photo Etched Parts (Tornado 1/32) and Plastic Sheet. model_madness
Magnificent finish!
Amen
Very nice results!
mueste
Thanks for your comments! My first built Breaker Panel wasn't correct. This second run looks much better..like a Sk-E Panel. I printed out again new Decals for the complete Panel. The red/white stripes descends from older Decalsheets. Regards, Stefan Edited July 19, 2009 by mueste
fulcrum
It looks great!! any update? Cheers. -_-
mueste
Thanks fulcrum! Yes, a little update! The next step was to pay attention to the bottom side. Out of the Box, the Doppler Radar Antenna under the right wing is still a decal. I formed a piece of sheet for this result. Looks better as a lonely decal. Cheers!
