  1. So those were fixed slats similar to those fitted to the Israeli Air Force F-4E.
  2. They say it was an F-4J, however it had slatted wings in 1976 when the mod kits were introduced in 1977 and also had the “rhino” protuberance of the F-4B. Anyone knows the story behind it. BuNo 153083.
  3. One more question regarding F-4E slatted wing. One of the IAF Phantoms was modified with a fixed slat on the outer portion of the inner wing, I assume to test the flight characteristics at low speed/high AOA, that was the Phantom that carried the Sharkmouth. Was this before the introduction of the standard slatted wing?
  4. The style in the MH-60k was designed to increased the field of fire for window mounted mini guns.
  5. You need to use the 1/72 Hasegawa F-16CJ boxing, that's the only out-of-the-box option with the bulged gear doors, small intake and P&W engine and leading edge "beer cans" needed for a blk.52. Revell is missing the bulged doors and Tamiya is only GE powered.
  6. Block 52, 1/72 Hasegawa. 1/48 don’t know.
  7. The only kits on the market for the ONE OFF prototypes of the Boeing YC-14 and McDonnell Douglas YC-15 are in 1/72 resin by Anigrand. Nice kits to booth.
  8. Nice job Bobo, very nice. About the imperfections, if it looks like a F-100, it is an F-100. Sometimes I wonder whether it is worth to spend upward of 20$ for corrections that are barely discernible. I'll finish mine in Skyblazers livery.
  9. Unfortunately the 72nd scale decals have the same "pixalization" issue, I wonder whether a light coat of matching color airbrushed over it would help.
  10. Kursad, you made a very nice F-104 in Vietnam service. What has been missing is a 1/72 version of early USAF and NASA F-104 and TF-104 Starfighters, the colorful ones.
  11. Other than the "new" composite blades, the Pave Low maintained a six bladed main rotor system like all other twin engine 53s.
  12. Sprues at Hobbyterra Based on the Hasegawa. Correct 600 gallons tanks.
  13. it has been on eBay for a while
  14. Or you can buy the Skale Wings F-16D "Brakeet" and get it done. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=7&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwj7sd2Y7cjfAhXv01kKHcb5BY8QFjAGegQIBBAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.scalemates.com%2Fkits%2F1067617-skale-wings-is72001-idf-f-16-barak&usg=AOvVaw1BbCbLRE0kuE0X3yQ8pgwP
  15. The Hasegawa kit already includes the larger intake and the GE exhaust that are the primary differences between the two aircraft. Next you need to redesign the dorsal spine, as the Barak (Brakeet never existed) two seaters' spine is a simpler design, it however has an addition for landing chute/additional avionics. There are some minor differences between Blk 30s and 40s spines, for example the number of chaff/flare dispensers on the sides one carries three vs two cannot remember which is which. For the extended spine you may use parts in the Revell F-16c kit. Skip the CFTs
  16. 1/72 ScratchAeronautics from Spain is your answer. https://www.facebook.com/Scratchaeronautics/
  17. Well, since we are at it... 1/72: 1) a conversion to render a civilian KV-107 with the square windows and slide out baggage compartment. 2) Nose conversion(s) and ECM lumps and bumps for the AW-101 since Hannants came out with a phenomenal decal sheet 3) Floatation gear for the H-21 or civilian Piaseckys
  18. Ken, loved your website with the actual builds, but it seems to be no longer active. In it you had incredible reference as well.
  19. The light isn this photo seems to highlight the panels edges as if they were raised.
  20. Can you share with us where the "mother Load" is? I have that decal sheet and would like to do a really worn out Flanker. Thanks.
