Mark S.
Gents: I'll admit to not having any aircraft hydraulic/brake system experience but from the experience designing and maintaining brake system test equipment in the auto industry (installed the first dynamometer based roll brake test system for cars 1981) I can safely say that no one in this discussion seems to be an expert in the field. Before one can determine the failure an analysis of the hydraulic circuit is required. Such things as valve orfice sizes, pressure compensating springs in valves, state of any spools and their associated O-rings, any fluidic components, their functions, not to mention cross vehicle compensation circuits and the electrical/computer control systems. I doubt if the average maintainer has a complete understanding of the system. Forgot to mention oil temperature. Also dirt in the oil (plays havoc with small orfices) as well. Any guesses to what really happened? Mark

GregS
ironically, I had to spend an extra night at a Comfort Inn on my FL trip due to 2 blown nose tires (including getting towed by a tug), and then a non-retractable nose gear on the same scheduled airliner..... sounds really really familiar..... was it a dark blue bombardier aircraft maybe???
