Jeff M.
I saw the 1/48 A-6E scheduled for release on Revell/Monogram's website. Has anyone seen it on a shelf yet? Jeff
fulcrum1
Saw it last week at a Hobby Town in Springfield, MO.
DutyCat
Yes, it's out. Saw one at the LHS a couple of days ago. I gave my "Bird's of Prey" version of this kit away a couple of years back. 1/48 is just too big for me.
strikeeagle801
Yep. I saw it in Galexy Hobby in Seattle last week. $31 and some change, which I don't think is a bad price at all for that kit...especially since E-bay prices were often times up in the 40-60 range. Phantom ordie
My LHS has two for $28.99 each. Is this a new tool or still has raised panel lines?
catfan
dose it have the TRAM parts with it?
Andre
My LHS has two for $28.99 each. Is this a new tool or still has raised panel lines? Old (though still quite good) tooling, raised detailing. dose it have the TRAM parts with it? Yup. Cheers, Andre
Keith Diamond
$22.59 at Hobbylinc.com Was Kinetic or Hobbyboss supposed to come out with an Intruder? I'm thinking it may have been Kinetic since they have a Prowler that seems to have overall positive reviews.
Finn
Yes Kinetc has a 1/48 A-6 coming out and from what was posted awhile back, Trumpeter/Hobby Boss wants to get in to the act and had put their 1/32 A-6 on the back burner and are concentrating on 1/48 Intruders, A & E versions. Keith Diamond
Ah thanks. Hopefully their efforts will provide a nice alternative to the already nice RM kit.
Sebastian Haff
Any word on when Kinetic's Intruder is supposed to hit the shelves?
Jinxter13
$22.59 at Hobbylinc.com Hobbylinc A-6, Well it's an Intruder, only it's the EA-6A...not the one most are hoping for, The A-6E (TRAM) version.
Keith Diamond
A-6E at Hobbylinc It slipped below your radar ;)
muswp1
Any word on when Kinetic's Intruder is supposed to hit the shelves? This summer, I think.
Jinxter13
A-6E at HobbylincIt slipped below your radar I hate using some website searches............I specifically called out the A-6E Intruder at Hobbylinc , Thanx for the correction Edited January 30, 2011 by Angels49
fulcrum1
Can't beat this kit for $22......nothing I'd love more than to pad the stash with a few more, but with Kinetic and Trumpeter new tools headed our way I'm waiting.
VA-115EFR
Picked up the Revell kit last weekend for 31.00. They come with VA-35 and VA-85 hi-vis markings. I won't be using them, so if anyone is interested in the decals... I'm on the hunt for VA-115 Eagle decals.
Scooter Fan
Used to have the Monogram A-6E kit in 1/48 but it vanished between moves. Still got the Super Scale International low-viz markings for VA-85, VA-34, and VA-128 A-6E birds. Weird. Anyone need them?
Jay Chladek
I've got one of the older boxings. The kit can be built either as a TRAM or pre-TRAM, as such it has two instrument panels. In my case, I am thinking about getting one of the new issues and doing a wing swap with the EA-6A so I can do an A-6B for SAM hunting duties.
Keith Diamond
^_^ I hate using some website searches............I specifically called out the A-6E Intruder at Hobbylinc :P , Thanx for the correction The search feature at that site sucks real bad. Just typing in any of the teen series fighters will result in overlooked products and random aircraft not even remotely close to what you're looking for. The best way to search for a product there is by scale and then select manufacturer. So instead of searching for "A-6," select 1/48 aircraft, then select both Revell Monogram & Monogram. Then you gotta scroll through to find the new A-6E.
jwest21
Squadron has them but their description is misleading: "Kit features engraved panel lines, detailed cockpit with two crew figures, separately molded control surfaces, optional open or close 2-piece canopy, detailed landing gear and speed brakes, external stores"
VA-115EFR
To be honest with you, I think the only difference between the old kit and the reissue, are the decals.
FIGHTS ON
Picked up the Revell kit last weekend for 31.00. They come with VA-35 and VA-85 hi-vis markings. I won't be using them, so if anyone is interested in the decals... I'm on the hunt for VA-115 Eagle decals. I've got 2 in the stash & intend to do the Yellohammer VA-34 & the end-of-era VA196 scheme. That Aeromaster sheet has the end-of-era VA-115 sheme that i'm not gonna use, so if interested drop me a PM. image of Aeromaster decal sheet But I also see that Fightertown is pushing out a desert storm intruder sheet that is also looking tempting....... Brian P: Fightertown Decals
We've got a couple of sheets at print at the moment. ODS part 1, VA-xx and VA-xxx dis-establishment and a VA-35 History. ODS part 2 will be a bit further down the road. But in the meantime, this may be one of my favorites and we released it last year -
wh1skea
oooooh.... a black noses Intruder. That would be within my next 5 to-do list.
