Big Texan
Just curious to know if anyone has heard anything, seen anything, about the new Tonka?
falcon91352
The release is rescheduled for Spring 2014.
Jinxter13
It keeps moving back further and further....I'm hoping for the fall of '14, it'll only be a year late after all. Also hoping the delays means as it seems; kit corrections and improvements before it hits the shelves.
Andreas Beck
Test shot 1 is in. Have not seen it yet. Hopefully in Telford in two days.
Wolfgun33
Eagerly awaiting this one!
Niels
Revell's own page indicate March 2014
markmarples
According to my Revell rep they are on a slow boat from china, to germany where they will be boxed and then sent out he is expecting them in Feb for sale either late feb or early march more importantly the 1/32 re-release gr1 is due 1st Dec
Andreas Beck
The design depicts incredible detail including complete air trunks with adjustable ramps and also other great detail (on other parts of the airframe), be surprised . Don´t know yet how good this is transformed into steel by the tool shop. Usually after a correction sequence there will be a second test shot and a final approval. Then the molds come by ship to Europe for mass production of the kit. This "hot phase" from ts1 to production usually takes some time depending on different factors. A release before Christmas would be a REAL miracle.
F4DPhantomII
I hope something is done with the intake trunks. They look hideous in the pic.
Pete
That pic is the Hobbyboss kit, it serves as an example of how it shouldn't be. ;)
dehowie
Let just hope its better than the..He-219...Halifax...and dare i say the 109 with its own engineering and accuacy problems. Other than the superb JU-88 the Revell track record is actually worse than Trumpeters over the last 3 years. If its as good as the Trumpeter A-6 i will be very very happy.. Jinxter13
I hope not much effort was put into that quick build, and it's not indicative of how the fit truly is; the gap behind the front seat, rear coaming, the outside of the right intake. Is it my eyes or does the transition from radome to fuselage look wrong, maybe another instance of the bad quick build ....it looks as if it was just thrown together for display  . That's a poor display build for a show like Tedford IMHO. Edited November 9, 2013 by #1 Greywolf
joeltc
Full depth intakes and dropped flaps! And odds are its fairly accurate shape wise so Im sold already. Woohoo! .
JayBee
This is the first testshot! And as you can read it above, the parts arrived 3 days ago from China.... I hope not much effort was put into that quick build, and it's not indicative of how the fit truly is; the gap behind the front seat, rear coaming, the outside of the right intake. Is it my eyes or does the transition from radome to fuselage look wrong, maybe another instance of the bad quick build :pray:/> ....it looks as if it was just thrown together for display :unsure:/> . markmarples
More importantly if you look at the breakdown there is potential for a f3

mario krijan
Looks nice. Didnt know that revell doing injecing in China?
Thomas
Looks nice. Didnt know that revell doing injecing in China? No, mould cutting is done in China. Would not make sense to send the moulds for test shots to Europe. When the moulds are done, the manufature is done in Poland. Thomas
tobiK
i sold my HB kits when I learned Revell is doing it. Good move it seems,I am in for a three kits :woot.gif:/> Cant wait! I still keep my HB kits! You have not seen the Revell Tornado yet!! Also Revell can mess up a new tooling...let's see!
Berkut
I still keep my HB kits! You have not seen the Revell Tornado yet!! Also Revell can mess up a new tooling...let's see! Yes obviously they can mess it up, but it would need A LOT to mess up it as badly as HB did with their Tornado's.
toadwbg
Looks nice. Didnt know that revell doing injecing in China? In today's business world, I'm surprised when something is not made in China.
