  1. The Hasegawa kit remains a well detailed, nice looking model - glad I resisted the urge to sell mine with all the new releases in late years. I like the Indonesian scheme and find you did a good weathering job on the model Are those Begemot decals? Cheers, Niki

  3. There seems to be an agreement that "29" was among other Fulcrums at Ozerne Air Base, around 2006 painted in this scheme. Check comments below this photo of cn. 2960731217: http://spotters.net.ua/file/?id=98450 And a bunch of photos from that era (scroll down), including "21", "28"... http://odnopolchane.ucoz.ua/publ/1-1-0-23 Perhaps "29" is the one sitting to the right of the two-seater on the ramp?... http://odnopolchane.ucoz.ua/Ozernoe/podgot2.jpg ...certainly looks like the profile deemed (by the commentators on spotters.net.ua) to be correct: http://img.wp.scn.ru/camms/ar/39/pi
  4. Well then, mission accomplished! :D Now, get cracking on this Dauphin. Great how you've cloned the 'tool' (cutter) so far
  5. I dig the Tigershark! So, no, not dissapointed. Thank God it's not an F-16 or an 109 There are enough of those historical significant things out there :)
  6. *** *** *** *** *** ...and voilà :) The same for the rest of your images: :)
  7. Hi Grétar, Pictures from flickr are very easy to insert once you got the hang of it :) Just go to the desired picture > click on the white downwards pointing arrow at the lower right corner on the black background ['Download this photo'] > select 'View all sizes' > choose whatever size you like to use > right click on the photo and select 'View image' > copy the url from the address bar > come to ARC and your posting window > click on the 'Insert image' icon and paste the copied address from flickr. It should have this format (if you followed the above sequence :) ) :
  8. In the deep... depths :) of the www I have found this: http://www.f-4.nl/navy1.html# Hope it helps a bit :D
  9. From one of our very own ARC contributors (in one of the Eduard MiG threads):
  10. Maybe this will help, if you're still on the lookout: http://www.model-making.eu/products/Focke-Wulf-FW-190-A-German-Aces.html
  11. I've been expecting this and will most likely get four sheets in order to build the Iranian line-up at Kamina in 1963: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Iran---Air/North-American-F-86F/2239985/L/ I regret not trying to persuade you to add a couple of blue 'ONU' titles for the Philippines AF Sabres to the sheet. But, then again, when first announced it seemed to be just around the corner ready to print... :)
  12. Thanks for taking the trouble with the canopy, Ken!
  13. Lovely model(s), carefully built and with the exact amount of detailing & weathering for my taste. Congrats!
  14. Will be watching this with interest, Ken! You have mentioned the 'new mould' and the correct omega-shaped cross section of the canopy. Can you perhaps already asses the profile shape of the canopy also? Is it still pointy as per the other Trumpeter (and Hasegawa) Flankers or does it come closer to the fine curve of the new Zvezda Su-27M?
  15. Great news, Jennings! I just checked the site: will the TAROM decals be available also? I saw no tab [yet] in the IL-62 menu...
  16. There are two aspects here, I think: one - the real deal and two - the scale replica. One: While there is as good as no doubt regarding the figures and both things are [almost] the same length, there seems to be a difference in the shape of the nosecones between the regular Flanker and the naval two-seater: I think that if the figures are indeed right, then the only explanation for the differing shape of the nosecone is the fact that the diameter of the fuselage plug it joins with is bigger than on the standard Flanker. There are on the KUB two seated side by side with a corresponding
  17. I agree and will not miss this edition of yours. I am pretty excited about seeing what all the marking options will be about ...the only real good news I got today. Thank you for taking on this subject!
  18. Thanks, Jim! I was hoping that would be the case [thinking of using the part for a M-III-C bash, a sort of like this...], but don't remember having seen or heard something in that regard. Indeed, there is a typo. It is part C10 that represents the plug. So, C10-C11-C12 for the "long nose" Mirage
  19. Hi guys, I dare to dig this one up because here is where we had a bit of a question-and-answer session regarding the specific plastic bits found in the High Planes/ PJ Mirage boxes... So, these boxes contain two separate aft fuselage pieces: a short one [C9] and a long one [C8]. See them above the clear sprue, to the right of the Pitot tube, next to one another, with C8 broken from the sprue: Why the two different options? From the High Planes boxes (I have the IAI Finger one in front of me) I see that only the short aft fuselage [C9] is to be used on the Latin American Mirages. What is
  20. Oh, yeah, the Moxing kit. The most beautifully packaged kit I have ever seen (and I have seen some :) ) I it will build as good as it is packaged and as it looks in the box, then it deserves a spot in the Top 10 kits ever
  21. Wonderful British documentary skills [as ever, it seems] and an extraordinary subject [as the carrier always is]
  22. I would go as far as to say that - from that picture alone - this is a PR photo at a locomotive/ train design bureau/ manufacturing plant and that those models are handmade one-offs :(
  23. Dude, that's exactly what he did. Please do take a thorough look at the opening post. And anyway, for someone who doesn't remember the last time he/ she watched that so called news channel, rest assured: you're wasting your energy defending any kind of principles in a discussion about that outfit. Not worth it :(
