KursadA
Wow - this was a total surprise. The actual YF-16 was restored with the help of the artwork I provided. https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/hyperscale/viewtopic.php?p=2959846#p2959846 I remember preparing the materials but have not followed up with the progress of this. I am really proud to have contributed in some tiny way to preserving the aviation history of my adopted country. Now I guess I have to reprint this sheet after I come back from vacation in August.. habu2
Congratulations! I haven't been over to see it since they brought it in from NY in a flatbed. Still have pics somewhere. I'll have to go over next week to see if.
Dutch
That is so cool! Well done, sir!

habu2
I didn't realize you had released the Early Viper sheet in 1/1 scale !!! 👍 edit: you should add a page to your website for 1/1 decals and show the Early Vipers mask set (sheet 01001) with these pics - and mark it as Sold Out. 😂 Edited June 7 by habu2
Sodasorb
That's fantastic! Congratulations.
hemspilot
Awesome! See? Do some more of those historical sheets!
Dutch
Wondering if they will use your artwork for the Early YA-10 prototype restoration.
Darren Roberts
Way to go! Print a sheet with the prototype scheme AND the new "old" scheme. That would be a winner!
Scott Smith
Truly life imitating art! Congrats man, that’s very cool.
TomTheCat
One could have assumed that the USAF or General Dynamics would have sufficient documentation for such a project. I guess that at least one person on the restoration team is a plastic modeler, and thus aware that you released nice reference material along with your "F-16 Early Years" decals not too long ago. All the more honored you can feel about this
82Whitey51
This is fantastic, and to see YOUR instruction sheet taped to the nose! Wow! Very cool, and thank you for doing this sheet. Now...if a proper 1/48 YF-16 kit would materialize, that would be outstanding!
phantom
Very cool, congrats!
skyhawk174
Wow that is a great honour. Well done and congratulations
Mike J. Idacavage
Congratulations, Kursad! This is really cool. We modelers are so used to seeing decals made from the markings on the 1:1 aircraft, it's a nice change of pace to see markings going from a scale model to the real thing! Have fun modeling Mike
MarcB
Interesting discussion about the restoration lots of useful info and caveats about the accuracy of the restored bird vs the original one 😉 MB
