  1. Another suggestion: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10830572 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10830571
  2. To me the Hasegawa ones, even though sharp, seem more uniformly sharp. The UMa ones seem sharp in the middle and thick at the top & bottom. Just seems to throw off the look. But more than the intakes, that nose....just looks too small.
  3. I remember that episode. It was an F-16N. IIRC the Mig pilot was defecting and had to land on the carrier's barricade. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094560/?ref_=mv_close If my memory is correct, they used one with the red star on the tail: https://www.aircraftrecognitionguide.com/images/aircraft/General-Dynamics/f-16n.jpg (not sure if above aircraft was the exact one used on the show).
  4. Agreed on all counts. I've also heard that the Dream Model F-5's windshield is undersized ( just like the HB one.). Also, the HB intakes look too weird and bigger....like as if they were taken from the Hasegawa F-20 Tigershark. As for the AFV kit, though I'm primarily a 1/72 builder, I do occasionally wander into 1/48 territory and the AFV F-5s are one of the few that I cannot resist. At the moment, the Italeri/Testor kit is the best in 1/72 and it's a shame that the panel lines are raised. I think I also read somewhere that the original pointy nose version was permanently re-t

  6. Bump. Still looking. Even partially built or trashed kits are ok, as long as the Dmold resin parts are still ok. Thanks.
  7. Hi folks, I'm looking for the 1/48 DMolds corrected forward fuselage resin set (either for the Monogram or the Hobbyboss F-105D Thunderchief kit) Part no: DM48021 Thanks much!
  8. Nice pics, Gabor. Thanks I have mine on the way. Can't wait!

  10. Man, I can't imagine the time and effort you put into this. The panel line and rivet work itself give it a Tamiya/Hasegawa level detail. Awesome detail work, esp the cockpit.
  11. Fantastic. I've always liked the Russian Knights scheme, especially the yellow sunbursts on the tail. Nice work
