NEW 1/48 UMa AV-8B Harrier II Plus sprue shots in detail....
JackMan replied to F-16's topic in Jet Modeling
To me the Hasegawa ones, even though sharp, seem more uniformly sharp. The UMa ones seem sharp in the middle and thick at the top & bottom. Just seems to throw off the look. But more than the intakes, that nose....just looks too small. -
"Hollywood MiGs" list?
JackMan replied to Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy's topic in General Discussion
I remember that episode. It was an F-16N. IIRC the Mig pilot was defecting and had to land on the carrier's barricade. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094560/?ref_=mv_close If my memory is correct, they used one with the red star on the tail: https://www.aircraftrecognitionguide.com/images/aircraft/General-Dynamics/f-16n.jpg (not sure if above aircraft was the exact one used on the show). -
Agreed on all counts. I've also heard that the Dream Model F-5's windshield is undersized ( just like the HB one.). Man, I can't imagine the time and effort you put into this. The panel line and rivet work itself give it a Tamiya/Hasegawa level detail. Awesome detail work, esp the cockpit.

Yup, got mine too. Enjoy your kits

Trumpeter 1/72 Sukhoi-27UB "Russian Knights #20" circa 2013
JackMan replied to Fishbone's topic in The Display Case
Fantastic. I've always liked the Russian Knights scheme, especially the yellow sunbursts on the tail. Nice work -
