  1. I really like the dirty and worn appearance of the tank!
  2. I know many people don't like it with everything opened up but I really do. Wonderful job!
  3. Thanks for your insights, Gabor! Very unfortunate they messed up with these details.
  4. Been reading a lot about the program lately. Dug up all my books about the subject. So, although I think I know "everything", it still feels surreal so many years has passed. And we never went back.
  5. Awesome! I really like it! Perfect job with the weathering.
  6. Oh, you're quite wrong, sir. The planes might be based in Hungary, but since they are operated and paid also by several European nations - including Finland - that's the only scheme I'm interested in. Okay I might have a more special connection with this unit since I've visited the base, have got some unit related memorabilia and even the Revell kit I have is a gift from a guy who was working there as an officer. 1/144 is not my favourite scale, nor C-17 my favourite cargo plane, but if I'll ever get to actually build this kit, it will be with Heavy Airlift Wing markings.
  7. Looking good! Shame about the ear infection. It really sucks. Don't ask me how I know, but I hope she's already better.
  8. I too got bored a long time ago. Just way too little substance.
  9. Most impressive! I too have followed this from time to time, but the end result really succeeded to blow my mind! Would have needed a banana for scale although even without it I can imagine it's enormous size. 🍌
  10. She was not only the first Hornet pilot in the FinAF, but also the highest ranking female officer in our armed forces. Now she's the commander of the Fighter Squadron 31, known for its famous lynx emblem that once sported the tails of MiG-21bis. Way to go, Inka! https://yle.fi/uutiset/osasto/news/finnish_air_force_names_first_woman_as_fighter_squadron_commander/10519022
  11. Nice! Where is this AB, certainly not in the US?
  12. I'm not sure if I experienced a similar problem two weeks ago but it certainly seems so. The SAL cost was something astronomical - it really was several times bigger than my order! I don't know if there's a malfunction or something, but after I had tried it two or three times and the result was always the same, I gave up. I could have contacted them but I really didn't feel I could stand all the hassle. I ordered from 1999 (Hobbysearch).
  13. I'm looking forward to seeing further insights! I know what you mean, Gabor. These kind of posts are the essence of this forum.
  14. Okay, the spine is a letdown, albeit a small one. The rivet/fastener details on the ventral side and tail look a bit Trumpeterish (too big, only one pattern). Does it look better live? I also remember reading (from Russian guys) about the lack of raised weld lines on certain parts of the fuselage. All in all I think I like it and want one. 🙂
  15. Oh, they certainly do. 🙂 I do understand your reasoning through. A good kit is released, people give suggestions on making it even better. Later the same type is released in another scale, nothing happened and old mistakes remain. Frustration. Better check those Czech photos. I hadn't noticed them before.
  16. Finally someone has it! Tried to buy one a couple of weeks ago when my LHS said they have it in store. They were all gone by the time I got there... Anyway, I've been reading about it on some Russian forums and it seems it has some (smaller) issues but nothing dramatic. I would be eager to see what's in the box! 😯
  17. Excellent work! I too would naturally have chosen Kimi's car.🙂
  18. Interesting project! Never heard of this before. Fascinating to see how the chassis comes together exactly the way the real car did. The Lotus derived double Y-shaped backbone is clearly recognizable. Everything is pre-painted. How do the parts go together, since you can not sand or otherwise fix the parts very much.
