Miccara
I kind of admire this in a sad and jealous way... http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/lambo-battered-2011-03-
HOLMES
Just shows he knows that materialistic things don't really matter to him I guess ! :)
loftycomfort
Hey Jennings, are you gonna smash up your Eduard Mig-21 when it gets here? Just teasing. :) Terry
geedubelyer
Some people don't know how lucky they are If he was unhappy with his Lambo the dude could have sold it then given the money to some homeless folks in protest or something :) One good thing about that story is that it lead me to this. If I had the Chinese gentlemans' money, I'd be commisioning a coachbuilder to build me one of these....... Edited March 16, 2011 by geedubelyer

If I had the Chinese gentlemans' money, I'd be commisioning a coachbuilder to build me one of these....... Ooooh, that new style E is just about perfect. I'm not quite sure about those side scallops, they're OK at some angles but I'm not so good others. Pretty damn nice all round though. The Eagle was a bonus too, 2nd best looking GP car ever. As for the guy smashing his Gallardo, I'd say he was a self indulgent rich git with a ego to match his pocket book. Pillock! Steve.

Well he could have bet that type of money in a casino and lost it in 30 secs or so, at least he had more enjoyment with his luck then that. I am surprised how some people look at things. That car and his wealth is most likely like one of the people on here getting made at a paint job on a model and chucking it at the wall or stepping on it and chucking it in the garbage. Kopfjaeger
point to make tho. but yeah... went about it the wrong way... as if lambo give a toss... they have his money and i always thought everything Italian was known to break down/be unreliable and hideously expensive. I have a friend who is all wrapped up in his ducati monster, doesnt hardly ever ride it (crime) keeps it in the garage, and has now become a ducati poser. try to tell him it s just an engine cycle and he gets all defensive.... like a name and a design that wasnt ducatis original idea makes it shrine worthy..... but hey back to the story... so what? he smashes his car.... it is just a car... and hes out of pocket and MAYBE lambo are going " oh dear".....fools and money.... Well if he sold it, Lambo would still make money off selling parts, same if he kept it, Crush the sucker and the money is only spent up-to that point, not like he can go down to Autozone and buy a replacement part

Due to some peculiar technical solution like the desmo pump (which gives the unique sound) and welded frames, Ducati have gained themselves a loyali audience of "fine conoisseurs"... a bit like what Fonderie Miniatures does for model kits if you know what I mean. Plus, let's give credit where it's due, the Monster is cool as hell and I'd have loved to get one instead of the bike I eventually got. But earliest batches were infamously unreliable to the point that the bike was nicknamed "Smonter" (i.e. "it disassembles itself"). Tell that to your friend, I'd love to see how he reacts. Les / Creative Edge Photo
The man obviously has more money than brains. He could have sold it and donated the money to a good charity... Wait he's likely a selfish, materialistic pig who would never do that. Karma will hopefully befall him. Supreme arsehole in my books.
SBARC
It was just a Lamborghini Gallardo.......and not something really special such as a Triumph GT6.
Jay Chladek
Well, if he had traded it in for a Ferrari 458, then he could have set the thing on fire, blamed it on Ferrari and nobody would be the wiser.

He pays people to destroy his car to kick off World consumer rights day in is country and he is selfish? How the heck does any of us know what he does for charity? If that was America he would do it in a stadium get payed to get people drunk and spend 100buck on a 50cent seat for 1 1/2hours for something that takes 15 mins to do  People are complaining about a guy destroying a car on a consumer rights day yet we pay millions to grown men to watch them play kids games

Heraldcoupe
It's just a modern, mass-produced set of wheels, irrespective of how much it cost. Top Gear makes entire programmes out of destroying cars, how is this different? Cheers, Bill. Edited March 17, 2011 by Heraldcoupe

The Rat
Meh, I did the same thing with mine. Once I realised that those stupid upward-rotating doors made it impossible to transport my canoe on the roof it had to go.
