  1. The old old Esci kit had FN markings, you may be able to find one on eBay https://www.scalemates.com/kits/esci-4011-ltv-f-8e-crusader--542144
  2. Upon further investigation kit 08193 (122 FW) also includes both tails. This means any 1/32 Hasegawa F-16 kit that is boxed as a C includes both tails. .
  3. Kits S25 (Misawa), S27 (Ramstein) and ST102 (Thunderbirds) have both A & C vertical tail parts. If you can't score parts from one of these and don't want to spring for an entire Hasegawa "A" kit you might consider one of the Revell "A" kits.
  4. I normally build with everything closed. IMO the more panels you open the closer you are to building a diorama.
  5. A web archive of my old website, last updated ~2006 https://web.archive.org/web/20080101112259fw_/http://www.habu2.net/vipers/viperkits/72/kits72.html .
  6. Hasegawa and Revell (the more recent Revell Germany releases, not the early 80s ones) are the easiest to find. Fujimi and Italeri/Testors also did C/D kits in 72nd. .
  7. I should have qualified... Revell reboxed it back in '06. Hasegawa has re-re-released it several times since then, last release was in 2017. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hasegawa-04015-p-3c-orion--114443/timeline
  8. Revell has reboxed the Hasegawa kit, keep your eyes peeled.
  9. Some of you may remember my old website at habu2.net that had extensive reviews of F-16 kits and decals in all the major scales that were available at that time. A copy of the old website is captured at https://web.archive.org/web/20080102151609fw_/http://www.habu2.net/vipers/index.html I let the domain go many years ago when I lost my server. I still keep on top of the latest F-16 kits and decals, and today I got to see the latest release by Revell Germany, an F-16A with special D-Day markings. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/revell-03802-f-16-falcon--1522731
  10. Would SuperScale sheet 48-1076 work for you? It appears very similar to the markings on the Guardian Viper sheet. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/superscale-international-48-1076-f-16c-falcon--611344 https://mail.modelingmadness.com/scott/decals/super/48th/ss481076.htm
  11. The sling load is CF-01, the first F-35C. It was mostly a test airframe, not destined for operational use. More on this photo here: https://www.navair.navy.mil/news/CH-53K-lifts-F-35C-external-load-test/Tue-01242023-0936
  12. Kinetic #48160 F-16A/B ROCAF Missing Decals?

    Raymond,

I ordered the Kinetic Gold F-16A/B Block 20 ROCAF kit #48160 through www.squadron.com  After receiving the kit, I observed that this kit #48160 has the same markings as kit #48055 since the markings guide and one of the decal sheets has 48055 printed on them.

When I received my #48160 kit I noticed it was missing one of the three decal sheets that appear to be included in #48055.  My kit #48160 contained these two sheets:

but this third sheet was not included:

I requested a replacement sheet from Brandon at Squadron, he replied that all of the #48160 kits he received from Kinetic only had the first two decal sheets.  Without the third sheet none of the ROCAF decal options in this kit can be built, including the scheme depicted in the box art.  Should this third sheet have been included in kit #48160?  And if so, how can I obtain the third sheet to complete my kit?

  13. With the Bort #s on the nose and the red insignia it looks to me like it might be an “aggressor” or “adversary” scheme.
