madmike
Something a little different this week. I went to Games Workshop and piccked up the Limited Edition Ultramarines Captain Sicarius, some paints and gaming dice. My oldest lad and a mate have convinced me to get back into Warhammer 40K, so I am painting miniatures and Marine armour as a very pleasant diversion. MikeJ

afyeats
I visited the only model shop in Red Deer, Alberta (Choo, Choo Willie's, don't laugh the owner's a train guy) and found them to be having a sale. 40% off no less. And there was a Revell 1/32 Hawker Hunter just calling to me. Edited August 5, 2006 by afyeats

The shop over in Reno does have some decent deals, but you sort of need to go hunting for them... of course, sometimes that can be sort of fun in it's own right

kalamazookid
Some excellent goodies today- 1/48 Monogram F-104 Starfighter (and the decals are still good!) 1/48 Tamiya F-117 Stealth 1/48 Academy P-47N Thunderbolt The Stealth is one of the most impressive kits I've seen, really looking forward to building it. That P-47N is a kit I haven't heard that much about, but it looks very good although I'll probably be adding some aftermarket decals. As for, the -104, it was there and I've wanted a second go at it since at the time I didn't know that Starfighters had white wings. :D Good stuff!
