Scalephantomphixer
Jan 13, 2005 Gents, From now on I will posts all my Phantom progress reports into a single thread. It should be easier for you to catch up. To start with, my latest work on the custom etched parts. The read cockpit received its instrument panel. I folded a MFD box, added an acetate "glass", a cardstock GPS map and soldered it closed. Then came the tiny LED, stuck into the box, and "LUX FUIT". Hurray, it works :D As usual, photos for your viewing pleasure. Cheers, Pierre Photo 1. General view of the rear c/p. Note that the instrument panel - except the MFD box - is a single piece, multi-folded into this 3D apparence. It was tricky to design it. Photo 2. Closer view of the back-light MFD. Photo 3. The back side, with the LED stuck into the MFD box from below Photo 4. Close-up of the MFD box. Magic, isnt-it?

Jamie Cheslo
Pierre, have you thought about publishing your work? Outside of ARC, I mean. Any magazine would go nuts over your stuff. Or have you already, and I simply haven't seen your work yet? It would be criminal for the world not to see this! Jamie

You're a danger to modelers everywhere, Pierre. When you're done we aren't going to be able to come up with anything that compares. Impressive. Chris Kethan
This is unbelievable.... Pierre, you are not a modeller, you are a madman. WE are modellers; YOU are in a different class. If we were flying planes, I would be in the P-36 and you would be flying the F-18. Keep up the amazing work, and be sure to keep all the "mortal" modellers posted on this project. Chris
