Michael,
My correspondence with Dick 'Ham' Hammaker, a 14th TRS RSO/WSO 1972 out of Udorn RTAB said chaff only, no flares in SEA....not sure of colors.
Can't comment on Desert Storm photo Phantoms.

Best,
Mike

You're right!
I believe the issue was that the wings have the reinforcement strap/belly strap, and the TISEO/ARN aircraft are reinforced from within. Isn't that right?

Thanks Andy! I am very happy with how well the masks worked for the shark mouth and sunburst, and will use them again on future Sundowners builds. Thanks for following š Fred.

Hello all, Iām hoping someone has a 1/48 Hasegawa P-47D bubble top version that they donāt need the extra fin fillet parts for (Sprue N). Iām looking for them to finish my current build, and hope someone can spare them if theyāre building a version that doesnāt require the fin fillet for their build. Let me know if you can help, thanks!

Hello all, I have an old tool Revell Lancaster Dambusters kit 04630 in 1/72, and thought it would have the standard bomb bay included in the kit. Iām planning to build a Mk.XMR and was hoping someone could help me with the bomb bay doors Iām missing. Thanks!

Since the Blackbox products were traditional cast resin, I image that the last molds are beyond their life expectancy. Who has the masters? Did they go with the new Squadron? Probably would be better to get someone to engineer 3D print on demand replacements for the RM Century series. I could see a decent demand for that. Thereās a lot of them in stashes, and even though newer kits are out there, most of them are Trumpeter and are afflicted with their apathy regarding shape and correctness. (The Kinetic F-104s are a welcome exception) We modelers being mostly older still are nostalgically bu

Timbertech airbrush & compressor available from Amazon work great. I have used them for over a year without any issues. I accidentally broke a part on the airbrush putting it back together after cleaning. They sent me a replacement free of charge.

Hello, I would like to model them with open doors. What would the flare cartridges look like - red? All the pictures I have with open doors, show the racks empty.
Furthermore, I read they were also loaded with chaff cartridges during later service. I guess that would be the case for a Desert Storm Photo Phantom. Maybe somebody knows or even better, has some pics to share?
Thanks

Hi Ben,
I don't have these specific sets, but I have other aftermarket items for the hasegawa tomcats - black box bombcat conversion and wolfpack OIF update sets, plus some other items I'll have to dig out.
If you'd be interested in these, let me know.
thanks

Here, after some time an update on the build.
Continued with the engines and made them ready for some painting.
To ensure both engines look the same, I used the exhaust cone from the kit for the LACI engine. Both cones were modified to fit later engines.
The fuselage was also started, and the fuselage halves were joined using tabs. Then both halves were glued together. The vertical stabilizer and some small antennas and add-ons were glued on.

A little bit more on that KM-1M seat which was displayed on my stand few weeks ago. Traced the history of the seat and a small āID Cardā was prepared for the show. Actually for all the seats, it is now a tradition to have as much information as possible about the given ejection seats history. Thanks to Pali & Istvan for help!
The seats rocket motor was fired after the planes crash since the wreckage was considered to be unsafe to move without this. This resulted in some burn damage to the right side and a lot of soot & grime. A thorough wash was needed to get it all off bu

I believe they were AN/ALR-69 pods. The Dutch might have used the same type.
Does this help?
