New 1/48 Kinetic Hornet Kits

That must be some wind as I have never seen rudders move in the wind either. I've never tried to move them by hand, although I have pushed the trailing edge flaps up by hand after a wash job to drain the excess water out of the drain holes and I know that takes a little effort.

I guess on a carrier those winds can get very ferocious.

Pushing the TEFs up sucks, that's one of the things that's better on Supers, they don't have to get pushed up to open the 64 doors. You have to move the rudders by hand to get the 71 panels off for the stab servos and the rudder shrouds, or to do a post wash if the rudder is facing the wrong way and is covering the grease tip. It's not uncommon underway to have winds strong enough, no one is allowed on top of the jets, usually when the ship is going someplace in a hurry.

Does the wing fold angle in more towards the center? They should be abit over center when in place properly...is this just the initial setup or the molded position it will be in? If it is fixed, would it be difficult to to set the wingfold properly?

Edit: It does look really good tho...When do I get one?

Eating some crow right now on this one, looks like this built up looks much better and convincing enough for me to buy a few.

WOW Nice!!!! :jaw-dropping: :jaw-dropping: I planned to buy at least one to start with but now...Man I may have to get about 6 of these kits right from the start :bandhead2: .....

Excellent Job Raymond Excellent!!!!!

Your team is to be HIGHLY Commended for the recent efforts. I have the SuE on the way From Red Star Models and can't wait to start it...

One thing I'd like to see is Some weapon sets released so we can add extras to the kits....

Maybe it's been said already, but is this intended to be a series/family so eventually we will see an A, A++ and D model?

Yes to the A models, they were actually scheduled to be released first.

Based on the part breakdown I am sure there will be duals.

Super nice looking! I'll be buying a few.

Keep up the Good work Raymond! I'm even more inclined to buy your products because you are willing to interact with us crazy modelers online. I've built your A-6E, Mirage 2000, and F-16 (which I actually like better than the Tamiya kit) and always have enjoyed them.

Now, when you get bored, maybe we can get a new Super Hornet.

That looks much better, I thought the nose looked too narrow in the images in this thread, the nose looks much bulkier in the Aussie modeler thread. I love the wing fold detail!

I was a little reserved before, now I will be buying a few for certain!
